You will never believe what I did today! I’m sure most of you are like me, you are addicted to Pinterest, yet never make any of the things you’ve pinned. I have 15 boards full of stuff and spend WAY TO MANY HOURS looking at stuff, but never made anything.
That all changed today. I didn’t follow the recipes, but I pinned pictures of these two thing a while ago.
Today, seemed like a good day to try them.
First, I made Buffalo Chicken Wraps. I have been making Buffalo Chicken Dip for College Game day, and though this would be a good way to change it up.
Buffalo Chicken Wraps
- 6oz Shredding Chicken
- 1/2 Cup Low Fat Cheddar Cheese or Blue Cheese Crumbles
- 1/3 Cup Franks Buffalo Sauce
- 6 Egg Roll Wrapper- You can find them in the produce section
- 1/4 Cup Blue Cheese or Ranch
- Preheat oven to 400.
- Mix together Chicken, cheese, and sauce.
- Place 1 Tbsp mixture in center of wrapper.
- Roll wrapper (See below for directions) and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Brush lightly with oil and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
I wish I had carrots and celery to put inside for an extra crunch. They were still really good and less than 100 calories each. They made the prefect snack for watching Football! And Huck really enjoyed them, too.
Next on my list of Pinterest inspired meals. Cake.
You may be thinking, what is so special about cake. Well, the surprise is on the inside.
Tie Dye Cake.
Huck and I took a box of plain white cake mix and divided the cake among 6 bowls. Then, we added food coloring to each one.
The orange was my favorite!
The “red” was a little too pepto looking.
We added half of each color into our baking pan. (Yes, I still had my PJ pants on. I’m sick!! I have an excuse )
Now take a knife or chop stick and dragged the colors threw each other.
Then, bake as directed.
What you are left with is a tie-dyed cake! I wish we would of done cupcakes instead, though. Then I could give them to our neighbors, and I wouldn’t be left with a whole cake in the house. I may still take them a couple slices. Huck will only eat a few slices, and you can’t waste cake!
Chili has been simmering in the crock pot all day and GA football will be on soon. Great way to spend a lazy Saturday.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! Make sure you try the Buffalo Chicken Wraps!!
