This week started with a visit from our old neighbors, Tim and Jen. They came down on Monday-Wednesday. We took them to the usually places and spent some time at the beach. Tuesday, we go up early and drove an hour and half North to the Brevard Zoo to zip line through the zoo. Jen wanted to go Ski Diving and this was as close as Tim and I were willing to go Smile

The red line is the “Life Line”. We were attached to it at all times by two clips that were attached to our harness. It would get complicated trying to maneuvering through the different stations and moving along the life line.

There were over 10 zip lines and 32 challenges. This was the first zip line to practice before moving to the good stuff.

Did I mention it was hot as hell! I can’t remember sweating that much in a very long time.

One zip line took you over the lake and was over 60 feet high (According to Tim) We climbed up to the top and you’re standing on this small platform in the top of a tree all by yourself. They do not have people helping you while you are moving from station to station.

We got to zip line over the Alligators too.

During the first part of the course, you are in the trees above the animals. This little baby monkey was so cute.

The monkeys were my favorite. They were just hanging out watching everyone go by.

The course says it takes between 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on how many people are ahead of you. We arrived right after two large groups. The first part of the course was very slow. Luckily that was the part near all the animals so we had some entertainment while we waited. There were only a few people on the second course, and we never had to wait. All together, it took up over 4 hours to complete the course. I started feeling weak and dehydrated by the end. And I felt so gross. My clothes were sticking to me, I was stinky, and dirty. I couldn’t wait to get home and take a shower.

I really enjoyed the zip line adventure, but if we ever go back, it will be during the Winter time. It was just way to hot.

Tim and Jen left Wednesday morning to go to SeaWorld. I really enjoyed their visit.I miss our old neighbors. Sad smile

I told Huck we are lucky to have so many visitor since moving here, though. And we get to spend more quality time with our family and friends.

Gump arrived on Thursday afternoon and will be here until Monday. I will be back with a recap from his visit later… If we do not kill each other first!!
